Otorhinolaryngology

Otorhinolaryngology  is a branch of medical studies that is  referred to as ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat ). The Department of Otorhinolaryngology is an important specialty department at SKS Medical College. It focuses on the study, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and disorders related to the ear, nose, throat, as well as related areas of the head and neck.

Mission

  • To provide undergraduate medical education in otorhinolaryngology.
  • To deliver high-quality patient care across a range of ENT disorders and its prevention.
  • To offer community outreach programs focusing on early detection and prevention of ENT diseases.
The department shall endeavour to impart teaching undergraduate medical students through lectures, clinical postings, seminars, and workshops. The department shall provide OPD and IPD services with facilities for diagnostic procedures such as:
  • Audiometry Tests
  • Nasal Endoscopy
  • Laryngoscopy
  • Videostroboscopy
  • Allergy testing
The department endeavours to frequently organize health camps, school hearing screening programs, and awareness campaigns about hearing conservation, early cancer detection, and prevention of ENT diseases in rural and urban communities.
